Early for Your Week

Overview

The Two Days That Decide Your Whole Season

A bad closing is the most expensive mistake in pool ownership. Water left in a line that then freezes will crack plumbing you cannot see, and you will not find out until spring.

A bad opening costs you weeks of swimming while you fight algae that never needed to be there. We schedule spring openings and fall closings as a proper booked service so neither gets rushed.

What Is Included

Exactly What We Do, Both Ways

Spring Opening

Cover removed, cleaned and stored. System reassembled and started. Water topped, cleaned and balanced, filter commissioned, and equipment checked so faults surface now rather than in July.

Fall Closing

Water balanced and shocked, level lowered, lines blown out and plugged, antifreeze added where needed, pump, filter and heater drained, fittings removed and stored, and the cover fitted correctly.

Our Process

How Scheduling Works

Openings fill through March and April, closings through September. Early callers choose their week.

02

We book you in and tell you what to have ready — power on, water topped up, access clear.

03

We Do the Work

Our own crew, the full checklist, and a note of anything that needs attention before next season.

04

Follow-Up

Bring a water sample in a week later for a free test so the chemistry settles exactly where it should.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Once water temperatures are consistently below about 60°F — usually late September into October here. Closing too early in warm water invites algae under the cover.

Earlier than most people do. Opening while the water is still cool means algae has not taken hold, so you spend far less on chemicals getting clear. Late April is typical in this area.

Not in Virginia. Water left in the plumbing, pump, filter or heater will freeze and crack components, and those repairs cost multiples of a closing. Proper winterization is the cheapest insurance you can buy.

We stock safety covers and winter covers at the shop and can supply and fit one as part of the closing.

For the week you actually want, call in late winter for an opening and late summer for a closing. We do our best for last-minute calls but the calendar genuinely fills.
